Job Description

Job Title: Human Resource Manager

Flip Electronics LLC (herein referred to as “Flip”) is a six-year-old semiconductor distributor, specializing in obsolete/end of life semiconductor parts that was founded and started by Jason Murphy.

Flip has grown from a small family company to a medium sized entity due to developing greater relationships with component manufacturers. With greater access to manufacturer’s part inventory, Flip has experienced explosive growth in the last six years.

At the start of 2020, Flip had 16 employees and grew to about 60 employees by the end of 2021. By the end of the second quarter of 2022, Flip will have approximately 75 employees. Flip moved into a new 73K sq. ft. warehouse in Alpharetta, GA in September 2021. In addition to our Alpharetta HQ, we currently have employees in eight states and in 2022 have two employees in Taiwan and one starting in Q3 2022 in Singapore.

As Flip has grown both in revenue and employees, Flip has identified the need to establish an HR Manager in our Alpharetta HQ. It is important that this individual learn and understand the culture of the Flip family, our hard work ethic, but also ability to have fun with our teammates.

The prospective HR candidate should have the following experience:

  • Over 10 years’ experience with companies owned by PE OR experiencing rapid revenue and employee growth.
  • Member of SHRM or other HR certifications/qualifications.
  • Proven record of maintaining and developing a company culture.
  • Experience managing a multi-state / multi-national employee organization.
  • Ability to be a trusted resource for Flip employees to share/discuss any work concerns and or situations.
  • Ability to effectively communicate to Flip Senior Management, areas of exposure or personnel issues before they escalate.
  • Familiarity with PEO/co-employment relationship and payroll/employee on-boarding.
  • History of identifying and hiring new employees.
  • Identify areas of training needed by Flip and organize all training. Person should set up an LMS to track employee training.
  • Onboarding of new employees, including maintaining and updating employee handbook.
  • Employee development to include implementation of standard employee performance review process, and corresponding development plans.
  • Maintain employee records.
  • Review company’s comp and benefits and make recommendations to executive management to ensure we are competitive.
  • Vigilance to ensure Flip follows all labor and employment related laws/requirements.
  • Coordinate with marketing regarding internal communication and gatherings.
  • Work closely with IT for new employee on-boarding.
  • Experience with distribution business is a bonus.

This is an on-site face to face role at the Alpharetta, GA HQ.

For the right candidate, Flip is open to a part time (20-30 hours) or full-time work schedule.

Salary will be commensurate with experience.
